Windpower Engineering & Development reports: CNC Onsite develops in-turbine method for repairing yaw rings

Windpower Engineering & Development, a publication and news website covering technical innovations in the wind sector, reported on CNC Onsite’s in-turbine yaw ring repair. Up until now,  a damaged yaw ring teeth were difficult to repair as the ring is located up-tower. Limited space was a major constraint. The whole nacelle was usually dismounted and a replacement yaw ring was mounted. With the new method from CNC Onsite, the yaw ring can be repaired in-situ. This is good news for North America where most of the readers of Windpower Engineering & Development are located.
