How It Works

Bring The Boring Machine
To The Bore.

With our mobile line boring systems, large-diameter bores are machined and restored where the equipment sits. No major disassembly. No transport to a workshop. Bore accuracy to OEM specification, typically in 1 to 5 days on site.

The machine comes to the bore

Large housings, bearing seats and pivot bores cannot be moved to a workshop without major disassembly and downtime. Instead, a portable line boring system machines the bore in-situ - on equipment ranging from heavy industrial press frames to marine drivetrains.

Built for machinery that cannot move

  • Hubs, bearing housings and structures machined in place
  • Bore diameter range adapted to the application
  • Used across heavy industry, marine and energy

Why it beats the workshop route

Moving a large component means major disassembly, transport and downtime. On-site line boring removes all of that: the bore is restored in place, with an expected lifetime similar to the original. All work is carried out under ISO 9001 certification, and we have delivered on-site machining on five continents.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is on-site line boring?

Line boring machines large-diameter bores such as hubs, bearing housings and structural bores directly on the equipment, using a mobile line boring system. The component stays in place - no major disassembly and no transport to a workshop.

How long does an on-site line boring job take?

Typical duration is 1 to 5 days on site, depending on the application.

How accurate is portable line boring?

Bores are machined to OEM specification, and the work is carried out under ISO 9001 certification. The restored bore has an expected lifetime similar to the original.

What equipment can be repaired with line boring?

Applications include hubs, bearing housings and structures, on equipment ranging from heavy industrial press frames to marine drivetrains, across heavy industry, marine and energy.

What bore diameters can you machine on site?

The bore diameter range depends on the application. Send us the details of your bore and we will respond within one working day with an assessment and indicative quote.
