How It Works

Fine Tolerances, Verified On Site

With Easy-Laser measurement systems, we check flanges for flatness and tilt on wind turbine towers, foundations, crane pedestals and similar structures where very fine tolerances are required - directly on site, onshore and offshore.

Integrated with repairs, or standalone

The measurements run before, during and after our repair and machining operations, so components are inspected, aligned and verified throughout - with documented results. We also measure independently for customers who need inspections, alignment verification or condition assessments without machining work.

What we measure

  • Flatness, parallelism and perpendicularity of flanges and structures
  • Shaft, bore and machine alignment - including installation support
  • Geometric and dimensional verification with pre- and post-repair documentation

Portable equipment, minimal downtime

The portable Easy-Laser equipment measures directly in nacelles, towers, offshore foundations, workshops and production facilities. No transport of large components, no unnecessary downtime - and a measurement report you can use as documentation towards your suppliers.

Quality Assurance Our measurement work ensures the quality of your components, providing assurance and confidence in their quality and whether they meet the required tolerances and precision. Quality assurance also serves as your documentation and guarantee to your suppliers.
Fault Finding If we come across any errors in your components during our measurement work, we’ll promptly notify you, allowing you the opportunity to address and rectify them.
Basis For Decision We provide a measurement report, which serves as your documentation for the quality of your components. The measurement report will also highlight potential errors and deficiencies in your components, which you can use as a basis for decision-making regarding whether subsequent machining is necessary.
Fast Response We respond quickly to measurement tasks and have technicians ready to ensure the quality of your components. Within a short period, you can expect a solid basis for decision-making for your further work, as well as documentation of the quality of your components.
How It Works

Our Process

01

Inquiry

The customer contacts CNC Onsite because documentation is required prior to an installation or quality assurance of a given component.

02

Planning

We pack our equipment and go on site to perform the measurement task.

03

Execution

We conduct the measurement work and deliver a measurement report to the customer.

04

Decision

The customer receives the measurement report and uses it as a basis for deciding on potential further work. If our measurement work has detected errors on the components that require additional machining, the customer can decide whether to react based on the report.

05

Follow-up

If the customer decides to take action based on the measurement report, we are ready to undertake the necessary machining of the components.

“Take for example an installation vessel that has had seafasteners made for towers or a crane vessel that need to install new cranes on existing flanges, and they’re unsure if these meet the necessary tolerances, we can perform the measurement work for them. If the quality is adequate, they can use the measurement report as documentation. If the tolerances need improvement, we can offer to machine the components to meet the required standards. These are two very typical tasks that we handle with our Easy Laser”

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Easy Laser and a 3D laser tracker?

We use the Easy Laser for measurement tasks such as checking flanges for flatness and tilt on wind turbine towers, foundations, crane pedestals and similar structures where very fine tolerances are required. The 3D Laser Tracker is used for more complex tasks on larger components: verifying correct placement of holes, laying out reference points in production lines and aligning machines with high precision.

What do I receive after the measurement work is done?

You receive a digital measurement report documenting the quality of your components. It highlights potential errors and deficiencies, serves as your basis for deciding whether further machining is necessary, and works as quality documentation towards your suppliers.

How long does an on-site measurement job take?

A typical measurement job takes 0.5 to 2 days on site. We respond quickly to measurement tasks and have technicians ready, so you get a solid basis for decision-making within a short period.

What happens if the measurements show my components are out of tolerance?

If we find errors during the measurement work, we notify you promptly so you can address them. If you decide to act on the report, we are ready to undertake the necessary machining of the components so they meet the required standards.
