Gonzo
Customer-adapted sibling of Kermit — named after its blue colour. Tailored for a specific repeat-repair challenge.
Gonzo is a customer-specific version of CNC Onsite’s gantry milling platform, developed for controlled machining of monopiles, transition pieces, and tower sections used in offshore wind turbine foundations and towers.
Built on the same proven machining principles as Kermit, Gonzo combines high-precision CNC machining with a configuration tailored to the customer’s production setup, handling requirements, and workflow. The machine has been engineered around the customer’s specific manufacturing environment, ensuring seamless integration into existing production processes.
Designed for serial production, Gonzo replaces manual and variable machining processes with a controlled and repeatable solution, improving tolerances, surface quality, and process consistency across large steel structures.
Developed and assembled at CNC Onsite’s Technical Center in Vejle, the machine demonstrates how a proven platform can be adapted to new customers while maintaining the precision and productivity required for next-generation offshore wind projects.
The project reflects CNC Onsite’s approach to machine development: combining proven technology with customer-specific engineering to create solutions that fit both the component and the production environment.
