How It Works
Bushing Replacement.
Without Scrapping The Blade.
Failed or fatigued blade root bushings used to mean scrapping the blade. Our CNC-controlled bushing replacement removes the old bushings and installs new ones on site - the blade is reused, not replaced.
How the repair works
A machine powered by Siemens CNC technology mounts directly on the blade root and mills out the worn bushings with very high precision. The same machine can reface damaged flange ends. New repair bushings and infusion technology, delivered by our partner We4Ce, complete the installation.
Built for the blade
Fully automatic and semi-automatic machine variants - installed directly on the blade and easy to operate
The repair runs on site - no blade transport, no disturbance of ongoing production
Addresses loose bushings, jammed or broken bolts and damaged flange ends
M30 & M36bushing solutions verified
TNO + Fraunhoferultimate and fatigue testing
ULassessment statement issued
A verified alternative to blade replacement
Test coupons have gone through extensive ultimate and fatigue testing at the TNO and Fraunhofer test institutes. UL's assessment indicates the repair concept can achieve higher pull-out strength than the original bushing and a lifetime sufficient for - or exceeding - the 20-year turbine design life, depending on site-specific conditions.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can blade root bushings be replaced without scrapping the blade?
Yes. The old bushings are milled out and new ones installed directly on the blade, on site. The blade is reused instead of being replaced.
How is the bushing repair verified?
Test coupons have gone through extensive ultimate and fatigue testing at the TNO and Fraunhofer test institutes, and UL has issued an assessment statement for the repair concept. The M30 and M36 solutions have been verified.
What blade root damage can be repaired?
Loose bushings, jammed or broken bolts and damaged flange ends. The machine can also perform flange facing with very high precision.
Does the blade have to be transported to a workshop?
No. The machine is installed directly on the blade and the repair is performed on site, without disturbing ongoing production at the park.
